Approach
Initially, an introductory meeting is planned, in person or online, after which it can be decided whether art therapy is the right way forward. If going forward we would ideally meet in person for regular sessions, but online therapy can be offered.
What does the session look like?
The session takes place in a confidential room at a fixed time, weekly or sometimes more often, for 50 minutes.
Sometimes customers will talk, sometimes they just make art, sometimes they use a combination of language and art. There is no question of 'right' or 'wrong', but more, under professional guidance, finding your own way to investigate and understand feelings in a safe way. This way a personal session structure is developed that best suits the client.

My method
In my work as a therapist I draw on Jungian and psychodynamic theories and approaches in which the relationship between client and therapist is central and where dream work and metaphors also find there place. Attachment theory and developmental psychology are also central to my thinking and working methods.
As a psychotherapist, I do not prescribe medication.
